Say no to both Ibrahim Ali & Wong Meng Chee

I have already made a very clear position that for Wong Meng Chee @ namewee to resort to obscene language and also vulgar expression in public domain is wrong. However, for Perkasa to label the naughy boy in town a "traitor" and also burn his portraits is equally unacceptable. Most likely, namewee needs Perkasa to promote him commercially as an "anti-racist" singer while Perkasa also needs namewee to continue to project itself politically as "wira" in the 'heroic ' defence of bangsa, negara and agama. Mature and socially responsible adults in Malaysia should make it very clear that both namewee and Perkasa are wrong.

BTN subject to parliamentary & public watch

The Biro Tata Negara (BTN) or National Civics Bureau is certainly not an NGO. It is a governmetal unit, and its staff are all public officials. As such, BTN 's organisation, policies, resources as well as personnel are valid subjects for cabinet's evaluation and parliamentary scrutiny. Also, it does not enjoy constitutional immunity from public criticism.

Cannot understand why cartoonist is arrested

Really cannot understand why cartonist Zunar has been detained just before the launching of his very aptly titled book, Cartoon-O -Phobia. The people certainly would like to hear from the Federal Government.

For more educated & cultured public debates

Let us hope that there would be no more obscene language and vulgar expression used in public discussions, including those which appear in space which permits anonymity. Whatever great ideas and arguments we have, we have to present them with the moral wellbeing of youths and children in mind. Democratization would be meaningless if youths and children are conditioned by socially irresponsible adults to accept that using obscene language and vulgar expression, often with sexist or anti-women undertone, is normal, trendy and 'cool' or even 'brave'.
