James, the ROOT CAUSES of your country's political malaises stem from a group of crooked human beings:
1. who want to enjoy luxurious life but who do not want to work;
2. who want to rule others but who do not want to subject to people's scrutiny and criticisms;
3. who want to be respected by others but do not know how to respect others.
... and this group of human being, which is also cunning and wicked, invented all the mental-conditioning devices like "Ketuanan Melayu" (to ward off non-Malays) and "Daulat Tunku" and "Bahasa Istana" (to ensure lower strata of Malay submission as slaves to the "lords"), etc to ensure that they maintain their privileged accesses to economic resources and political powers without being questioned or challenged by the brainwashed people of the lower strata of the society who really work to produce goods and services.

Control freaks who invade every aspect of your life and don't trust anyone with normal freedom lest any threaten their hold on total power. One set of rules for you, another unfettered one for the rich and elites - exactly as has always been from the Middle eastern culture.
The reason why they are so anti-Western is precisely because they are inveterate authoritarian, not as they want us to believe completely - that the West is decadent. Damn hypocrites who would perpetuate the self-same derangement over all thing sexus nexus so as to control all peoples to their own selfish advantage.
A system like that is doomed to backwardness.
Zamry demands proof. That is likely to appear but what's there to prevent them from rejecting even the best proof under the circumstances where even the impartiality of the judiciary is in doubt? The famous Anwar trial is already clearly indicative of this phenomena a decade back.
