New Perak MB fluent in four major languages

According to Harakah Daily, the new Menteri Besar of Perak Ir. Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin is fluent in four major languages and two Chinese dialects. He is an engineering graduate from UK and a hockey player.

Yah, I saw a video of his speech in Ipoh. He gave a speech in Mandarin and Cantonese - not just basic greetings.

It has helped to win over the older generations Ah Yees and Ah Paks who were getting worried about the prospects of a PAS Menteri Besar.

Lim Keng Yaik was going around Perak trying to scare people - see what happens when you vote DAP - you get PAS for MB. The elder statesman did a lot of damage to his own standing with that sort of gratuitous politicking

Like Tian Chua and me who pleasantly surprised many pakcik-pakcik and makcik-makcik with our Bahasa Melayu speech at the 15,000-strong PKR rally in Sentul. KESIMPULANNYA: All human beings love their mother-tongues to be recognised and respected by people of other language groups.
