Has Zam agreed to Pak Lah marrying Jeanne ?

Honestly, I have no idea if PM Abdullah has already sought the prior permission from his 'Information' Minister Zainuddin Maidin to marry a woman with a partially 'Eurasian'-sounding name. Anyway, since Jeanne Abdullah is also a Muslim, any unhappiness, if there is any, on the part of Zam could be counter-charged by more cosmopolitan Muslims for being assabiyah or ethnic or tribal prejudice.

Wait and see-lah if Jeanne's name, images and voices can appear on the screens of RTM or any other mainstream media and advertising billboards under the jurisdiction of Zam's Ministry of 'Information'.

Hehehe...I call it The Revenge of the Pan-Asians...Zam must be having fits over this.

First the Raja Muda of Perak marries one, then Zam's boss marries one too.
Anyway from the released photos, Jean Abdullah is more ethnic Chinese than anything else, but from her original surname, she's probably classified as "Lain-lain".

I suppose, 'Jeanne' could always be spelt 'Jinni' or 'Jinnee' to allay any superstitious fear among the Muslims.

Dear kittykat46, Ms. Jeanne does look like MCA Wanita chief Dr. Ng Yen Yen.

I don't deny both of them are beautiful. Dr Ng Yen Yen has many nice Kebaya-ChongSam (or she calls it 'kebasam'. Pls correct me if I am wrong). She must has good fashion designers or she herself is a creative designer but sometimes, just sometimes it makes her looks less beautiful like a 'dumpling'. I think the reporter must had taken the photo from the wrong angle or most likely my eyesight is wrong.

Good idea to have a combination of kebaya and chongsam.Traditional + contemporary + patriotic + harmony, a fashion vocab for MCA wanita.
