Yesterday I reported the publication of Mr. Joe Conceicao's Singapore – The Many-headed Monster: A Perspective of the Riots of 1950, 1964 and 1969. As I have not read the book, I really cannot comment on it but it does seem to me that it is a healthy development toward societal maturity for Malaysians and Singaporeans to publicly explore historical issues like normal and true adults.

it would be great if there was never any books being banned. we're facing a brain drain nowadays (thanks to the "smart" policy that the government upholds), with many of our young intellectuals oversea refused to return, and those within the country can't wait to get out.
