Can an English version be made available?
There's really quite a complicated psychology behind all this
a)Whispered allegations about Najib's past behaviour concerning "women". Nothing substantiated, but there's plenty of stuff floating around.
b) Altantuya trial and conspiracy theories which involve Najib one way or another. Again no evidence, but the rumours refuse to go away.
c) Najib is deeply entrenched in the UMNO political system, but he lacks popular appeal.
d) Ah Yes, general election bells are ringing.
All put together - the result is Najib feels he has to spruce up his "Islamic" image. It just rings hollow.
Meanwhile it has the potential to cause a lot of problems to UMNO's non-Malay partners. The reason for the gag order.
Unfortunately for Zam, he can't control the Internet, especially blogs (YET!)
