Based on the polls, he may not even survive in his own constituency, for so long a solid Liberal Party Safe Seat

really don't know-lah. Australian politics could be very moody. In 1983, a year after I arrived at Melbourne, everyone was predicting a Coalition landslide but it turned out that Federal Labour under Bob Hawk finally came back to power after 27 years in the wilderness. Wait and see-lah.
