Malaysian Christians stand firm on 'Allah' row

The UK Press Association ( UKPA ) has reported Daniel Raut, a senior leader of the Borneo Evangelical Church which has the largest Malay -speaking congregation in the country, as stating very clear that East Malaysian Christians reject demands that they drop their claim to the use of the word 'Allah'. Father Lawrence Andrew in West Malaysia, is also quoted by AFP as making a 'resolute' statement of similar effect. Sikhs also uses the Arabic word Allah to refer to their Supreme Deity.
