By pressuring Elizabeth Wong to quit over the public circulation of her pictures taken by someone else in private without her knowledge and consent, Umno has postured itself as a 'moral guardian' of the nation.

Absolutely ! Many atheists do not commit incest and many are also not paedophiles.
Unlike perverse "moralist", many clear sighted atheist can pierce the veil of deceit surrounding fake but halloed "morality" which are actually derived into hollow outward but mandatory observances via a control freak Creed.

In the wrong time, you do a right thing (waiting the next general election) but actually you maybe do a wrong thing (letting UMNO eat more money).

Mary has indeed made a very strong point: people with no religion or athists could sometime be more moral or ethical in their daily lives than people who claim to believe in God/Allah/Whoever. BN or Umno may not be the conspirator in this case but the police should investigate Umno Selangor chief Khir Toyo because he has records of playing dirty tricks like burning government documents after BN lost Selangor. From his facial feature and expressions alone, I know the Indonesian dentist is a very dirty-minded "man".
One reason for Khir Toyo to appear to be more "Islamic" than other may be that he actually still practice Javanese Black Magic privately and he needs the "Islamic" cover to win votes and survive in Umno.
I agree with DPM Najib who said that there is no proof for anyone to link the Elizabeth pictures (or even tapes) to a BN conspiracy. But for Khir Toyo to pressure Elizabeth Wong to resign does give many people the strong impression that BN's Dirty Trick Deparment plans the entire operation from recording to distributing to demanding Elizabeth Wong to resign by Khir Toyo. One way out for BN is to publicly and officially repudiate Khir Toyo's position and statement and reprimand the Selangor Umno Chief publicly.
BN demands for proof ? hahaha ! Malaysians are now applying ISA standard of proof to BN politicians: accuse first and let the accused prove he or she is innocent. we are all supporters of ISA Standard of "Proof" now. Congratulation, Mr. Najib.
