India' s former president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

Although Muslims only make up about 14% of India's very huge Hindu-majority population, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a Muslim who hails from Tamil Nadu and a scientist of his own merits, is its former president.

According to Farish Noor's essays, the Hindu Fundamentalism is on rising. Did you come accross to this issues while yuo're in India?

India's mainstream newspapers are very open and free to criticise Hindu fundamentalism rising on the fringes. The Political Centres and the republican Constitution are still very secular and it is more inclusive than the Malaysian Constitution as there is no in-built "social contract".
