Alternative history of Malaya in modern films

I went to attend the Freedom Film Fest 2007 just now at the Annexe of Central Market in downtown Kuala Lumpur and met Eunice Lau from Singapore (left) and Fahmi Reza from Malaysia (right) who produced I Love Malaya and Sepuluh Tahun Sebelum Merdeka respectively. It was the first time I met Eunice whom Suriani has spoken so much in our occasional conversations over telephones.

The historical background of your film is very metoculously researched and you have successfully managed to talk to several PKMM pakciks as well as MDU's Lim Kean Chye. It helps the younger generations of Malaysians and Singaporeans to virtualise alternative history.

But, more can be done to (a) insert more photographs which are publicly available, and (b) enhance the ethnic balance by narrating more about the roles played by, for example, martyr S.A. Ganapathy, the President of PMFTU who was later hanged. Well, that is all for the moment.
