According to Encyclopædia Britannica, "Allah is the standard Arabic word for 'God' and is used by Arab Christians". So, should we believe and trust Encyclopaedia Britannica or PM Abdullah's Deputy Internal Security Minister Johari Baharum on the normal and legitimate usage of the Arabic word الله ? Will the government of Malaysia proscribe or censor Encyclopaedia Britannica under the 1984 Printing Presses and Publications Act (PPPA) on the ground that it "confuses" Malaysians ? Aiyah, its the same way in the
English Language "God" refers to the Supreme Being in the context of Christianity. But is also a generic word to refer to one who is worshipped as the creator or supreme deity in other religions.
Ilah is the generic Arabic word for "God".
