Dr. Koh Tsu Koon as praiseworthy gentleman

At a diplomatic cocktail party held in KL last night, many learned and very knowledgeable friends agreed with me that Penang's former CM Dr. Koh Tsu Koon is certainly a praiseworthy gentleman who has set a very good and mature example to all by accepting political defeat and transferring state power with truly admirable equanimity and dignity. By the way, the malaysiakini (Chinese edition) video interviews with me and Tan Ah Chai on our analyses and observations of the causes of BN' s debacles and politics of power transition has been published. The interviews were conducted last Sunday by editor Yong Kai Ping.

Strive to preserve, enhance people solidarity

Koh Tsu Koon has acted with grace and honour in defeat.

I've written a lot of heavy criticism of him when he was Penang CM, most of it well deserved.
If he had only listened more...or maybe he listened but the Barisan system simply had no room to accommodate the necessary changes.

I think it was the latter...in the end the only way was to send a very strong kick in the backside to Barisan.

But I respect the way he has acted in the last few days..

I really respect Dr. Koh Tsu Koon. Economically, Penang bloomed under his administration, which we cannot deny. Perhaps, Lim can do better. Let us keep and make Penang as the best. DAP have a lot of advantages given by the past administration, no doubt opposition will enjoy the benefit given. I am sure, we as Malaysian need to work our differences in order to keep on living under the same roof. And I still remember one of the songs from a German rock band, - “…’cause we all live under the same sun, we look up at the same sky…. then, why can’t we live as one…” Hudud for all, perhaps?!

Thats what separate Men from Boys!

To be honorable and dignify while in defeat is the measure of a matured and rational towering man. DrKoh deserved my respect.

As for the sour loser ARMNO guys who are now opposition on the Penang state assembly, shame on you, being absentee on the sworn in ceremony is cowardly, childish, worst kind of example unbecoming of an elected public officials. Signs of bad upbringing.
