Don : democratisation not always neat & tidy

According to Dr. Mavis Puthucheary (above), the composition of the Members of Parliament (MP) of the PKR-DAP-PAS united front is very reflective of the social reality of Malaysian nation as the result of the breakdown of the ethnic divides and religious barriers in the recently concluded general election. But, whether the breakdown represents a permanent change of the political psychology or merely a momentary expression of common anger against BN is yet to be ascertained. The wife of legendary political economist James Puthucheary (1923-2000) also observed that democratisation is not always "neat and tidy" and that some differences among allies, if manageable, are quite normal.
