When I first read the newsflash on TV about the China earthquake, it didn't occur to me as a major event, quakes are a regular occurrence somewhere in a big country like China.
Then the reported death toll just climbed, and climbed. Its really a major quake.
I hope the tour group is OK. It may be just a case of downed communications. There could be more such missing groups or individuals - at any time there are lots of Malaysians in China. Sichuan is a bit out of the way, but tourists still find their way there.
