Tribute to New China's martyrs & forerunners

At the spectacular opening of the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing last night, dazzling fireworks also brightened up the dark sky right above the Monument To The People's Heroes which serves as an expression of eternal gratitude of the Chinese people to the many generations of martyrs and forerunners who paved the way for a rejuvenated nation.
