An urgent appeal to PM Abdullah

Parti KeADILan Rakyat's vice president Dr. Lee Boon Chye said today that the health conditions of husband-and-wife hunger strikers Bala Krisnan and Rukumuni are in critical conditions and the police should release them immediately.

Bala Krisnan Appala and Rukumuni who are alreay on hunger strikes for seven days now in Kelantan to protest against Bala's detention without trial under the Emergency Ordinance for being suspected as a member of secret society. They hope the Prime Minister and Minister for Internal Security would intervene.
