Admiral Mullen takes over as Chairman of JCS

Admiral Michael Mullen (above) has formally assumed office as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States of America succeeding Marine General Peter Pace. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the principal military adviser to the US President.
