Revisiting DAP' s 1995 great Robocop debacle

One of the most outrageously meaningless, unintelligible and surreal electoral campaign symbol I have ever seen is, without doubt, Lim Kit Siang's 1995 Robocop for DAP which led to the ignominious end of the party's Tanjung III project to capture Penang's state government and the supremo's personal defeat. Many of us then in the party who were independent-minded had already given contrarian assessment before the very controversial logo was officially launched but flight-of-fancy groupthink seemed to have prevailed in his inner circle. 13 years on, he has still not admitted and accepted political responsibility as the top decision-maker at the material time for the 1995 Robocop fiasco while the list of public figures whom he demands for accountability, both inside and outside the Parliament, has grown longer and longer.

Main script of BN' s fear propaganda revealed

I suppose those who quit DAP due to differences with LKS are still bearing grudges and entraped in deep-seated resentment/bitterness. Some who challenged him thinking themselves to be smarter but in politics, it is one's ability to sway the crowd that counts. One must also have the generosity to stomach defeat - a prerequisite to entering active politics.

As the saying goes: If one can't stand the heat, just get out of the kitchen. Too many cooks who are too clever by half can only spoil the soup.

1. Kit Siang always calls for the resignation of this or that ministers. Is it because he cannot become a minister and therefore bear grudges and is being entrapped in deep-seated resentment/bitterness ?

2. Kit Siang always criticises local universities. Is it because he was once rejected enrollment by local universities and therefore bear grudges and is being entrapped in deep-seated resentment/bitterness ?
