Umno's strategic choice affects BN allies' fate
Whether MCA, Gerakan and MIC could rebuild themselves and regain the ground lost in the 2008 general election depends to a very large extent on whether Umno, at both the national as well as state levels, decides to moderate its attitudes and positions or render itself even more extreme in response to the now credible challenge posed by the progressive PKR-PAS which are also more inclusive and enlightened. The real problem for Umno is that, as shown by the result of the 2008 general election, at least 50% of the Malay/Muslim voting population have intellectually and morally outgrown its ideology and propaganda.

My gut feel tells me UMNO will react to the existential threat from PKR-PAS by emphasising even more "Ketuanan Melayu". The early signs are already there, such as Ku Li's insensitive, albeit internal UMNO letter , raising the spectre of losing Malay political power. Another was Bedol's playing the race card vs. Lim Guan Eng.
UMNO still doesn't get "it" about the results of the General Elections. Many still think if they get rid of Bedol and SIL, all will be OK again.
Wait for Tsunami Mark 2.
It may be sooner than you think..
That means there is no point at all for MCA, MIC and Gerakan to work hard or smart to rebuild themselves because whatever the successes of rebuilding would be destroyed again by Umno at the critical moment.

Hehehehe...I think this new "Raja Petra" could be an UMNO Cyber-Trooper.
Expect more of them clogging up cyber space soon.
Looks like their strategy to counter the challenge from the Internet is to put rubbish there instead of posting solid arguments and data to support their side. Poof !
"Where are we heading?"
Who created Tsunami? Force of Nature? God? or people who are not
responsible? Who are not responsible? Wait.... DEB? What NEP?.... Helloooo.... what's the different? BN, BA,... B... what?
AEM? DEB?..... comparative study on the way!
UMNO is a dinasaur and has become irrelevant, bloated by corruption, elitism, and more imporatnt still is that UMNO has lost the support of the minorities in the Chinese & Indian communities which make up a good 32 % of the voting public.
There is absolutely no reason to revive UMNO because in every way the so called leaders of UMNO are mere teenagers in brain power at least if not in age.
I do not mention the MCA & MIC because they too have been rejected by their constituents and with the demise of UMNO also follows the demise of MIC & MCA. In truth it is now the duty of MCA to CROSS THE FLOOR OF PARLIAMENT because they do not represent the needs of the Chinese people, as for MIC there is no need to mention because they have not won any seat at all. that is what the situation is and all Malaysians ought to pray that Dato Seri Anwar is able to win over 30 more seats to form govenment and we extend to him our best wishes.
I must congratulate all Malaysians for weaking up to the evils that have been perpetrated by the BN government. The Malaysian Judiciary is the laughing stock of the world; whose judges are so ignorant of the law that they are sworn to administer, commit breaches of the penal code and do not know that they have committed crimines such as Aiding & Abetting Perjury & Forgery and Perverting the course of Justice; the shamme on them is that these criminal offences were committed while they were adjudicating on the bench.
