Don : common issues unite opposition in poll

According to Associate Professor Ghazali Mayudin (above), two main reasons Malaysians voted beyond and above the racial and religious paradigms are that more common or universal issues were raised by PKR, DAP and PAS and that ex-DPM Anwar Ibrahim provided unifying leadership for all. Dr. Ghazali Mayudin also reasoned that Anwar is now acceptable to all ethnic and religious groups in the discontented segment of the society and that how BN would respond and react to the debacle in a new political landscape has to be carefully observed
