From war to peace

The site of Ban Chulabhorn 12 was once the principal base of the all-Malay 10th Regiment of the Communist Party of Malaya's Malayan National Liberation Army (MNLA).

The 10th Regiment was inaugurated on 21 May, 1949 in Kerdau, near Temerloh in Pahang to fight British colonialism. Now, it is a peaceful kampong where adik-adik are well taken care of by their parents, grandparents and teachers. They looked healthier and happier than me when I was in their age range. They were not shy or xenophobic at all.
