A paragraph in Alias Chin Peng: My Side of History strikes me as true and inspirational:
" It is good for the mind to envisage a world that is not wholly driven by greed and materialism ... Greed and materialism serve only short-term objective. They can never form the foundations of a lasting society ... " (pp. 514-515) . Is this not the common teaching of all great religions of the world?
