In memory of Kamarulzaman Teh, anti-fascist patriot
One of the many communists who fought against the brutal Occupation of Malaya by fascist Japan was Kamarulzaman Teh (1920-2002), who was born in Kampung Tanjung Broga of Mukim Sanggang, near Pahang's Temerloh. Kamarulzaman Teh joined the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) during the Occupation in 1943 and worked with the anti-fascist underground.
Kamarulzaman Teh, who was jailed for 22 years after the war, passed away as a proud and honourable communist on 5 November 2002 in his old comrades’ house in southern Thailand.
