Root cause of racial politics in M'sia analysed

What is the root cause of racial politics in our country? In the mainstream media now controlled by race-based ruling parties, the alleged faults are many except themselves and their history, ideology and model of political economy . But, the no-nonsense and straight-talking Dr. Collin Abraham reasons in his new book The Finest Hour - The Malaysian-CPM Peace Accord in Perspective (Kuala Lumpur, SIRD, 2006) that it was actually the suppression of the multi-ethnic leftwing movements, including the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) and Parti Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya (PKMM) by the British colonial regime and its local agents and collaborators that was responsible for inhibiting the promotion of a more inclusive and just society.
