Local media meets foreign journalist in M'sia

It is also very normal for senior editors of the local media to meet their foreign counterparts, either in Malaysia or overseas, to exchange ideas. This was one of such occasions held in the National Press Club in Kuala Lumpur where the then president of the Commonwealth Press Union (CPU) visited Malaysia and attended a seminar with people like former editor-in-chief of the New Straits Times, Kadir Jasin and myself representing Sin Chew Jit Poh. Zainon Ahmad (extreme left) was there too. By the way, the British president of CPU was also a former British MP affiliated to the Conservative Party.
