S' pore not for tough actions against Myanmar
According to a Bernama report, Singapore's PM Lee Hsien Loong opines that tougher actions against Myanmar, including imposing sanctions, " are likely to be counterproductive than effective ". Singtel supplies and manages Burma's internet system and also its mobile phone system.
Chartered Industries supplies Burma's military with assault rifles, anti-aircraft guns, grenades and military radio communications systems.
Of course they would not be in favour of sanctions against the Burmese military regime.
Who cares about the killing of a few hundred pesky Buddhist monks and students ?
