Propaganda & struggle of counter-propaganda

Although the effective power of BN's propaganda has been weakened considerably as compared to the pre-1998 era as the combined result of the revolution in the information and communication technologies (RICV) and other factors, the reality remains that, ultimately, ruling parties and their business supporters still control the mass-based and daily mainstream media in Malaysia legally, politically and financially, maintaining a playing field that is not even against opposition parties which still need to make breakthroughs with really limited resources.
