Chinese New Year observations in hometown

Having met and talked to many childhood buddies in Ipoh who have become businessmen and professionals, I am now finally convinced that many people are not optimistic or even outright pessimistic on several crucial spheres of the national life like the economy, law and order, quality of education at all levels and integrity of the judiciary, and aunties are certainly not happy about the fact that the prices of all things have gone up and up. Of course, in festive days, everyone just tries their very best to put on smiling faces in the public and to wish each other Gong Xi Fa Cai purely as a mark to respect tradition.

Home sweet home for festive family re-union
