Meeting HM Sultan Qaboos of Oman

23 July, 2000 was the 30th anniversary of the Renaissance Day of the Sultanate of Oman on the Arabian Peninsula.

I was sent by Sin Chew Jit Poh to Muscat, its capital, for a 8-day trip to share the joy with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and HM's government and people.

I met His Majesty at the State Banquet.
